Branding Jewish Slave Girls in Turkey
Description is from the chapter in Harem Girl titled "Marked".
This is an old painting (17-1800's) by an unknown artist showing turbaned Turkish men branding jewish slave girls.
Do not be surprised at the practice of branding. It was just
one of many violent and painful customs in common use until quite recently.
Women and girls had their flesh pierced with impunity in the pursuit of
beauty, baby boys circumcised in the name of God, eunuchs manufactured
and slaves branded on the path to subjugation.
