One Time Initiation Fee

To become a member for the first time, a one time initiation fee of $2000.00 must be paid along with the annual $1,600.00 membership fee. Yearly fees are payable November 30th each year. Remember - your membership ceases if the yearly fees are discontinued.

Trial Offer

A trial visit may be booked at our regular outfitter's rate of $500.00 per day, minimum stay 4 days. This includes our American plan (all meals), flights in and out from Sept-Isles, guides and canoes. We offer this opportunity as well for angler's planning to visit the Moisie only once in their lifetime. For more frequent visits, a membership is much more economical, saving you hundreds of dollars.

Lifetime Affair

Fishing the Moisie is more than a one time affair. By becoming a member not only do you get an affordable fishing opportunity on one of the world's premier salmon rivers but with yearly trips you'll hone your skills and truly learn the water, something that onetime quests have little opportunity to do. Maybe someday you too can join the likes of the great Lee Wulff, landing a 20 plus pound salmon on your tiny #16 fly and becoming a member of the fabled 16/20 club, which incidentally, first started on this very river!

Finally, all the comradely associated with a close group of individuals with identical interest is...well, 'Priceless'!

THE MOISIE EAU-DORÉE SALMON OUTFITTING CAMP

The Moisie-Eau Dorée salmon outfitting camp has exclusive Atlantic salmon fishing rights for 21 kilometers along the imposing Moisie River about 60 kilometers north of Sept-Îles, in June and July enter 2500 Fresh Salmons in ours pools. It is located on an island upstream from the famous Cran Serré Fall. Its site offers a unique panoramic view of the mountains, the valley and the river. Bring your camera!

The main lodge is located on an island at the junction of the Moisie Dorée rivers; the camp can accommodate 6 fishermen. A satellite camp is set up
9 kilometers upstream from the main camp. This allows for fishing until dark, sleeping on the premises, and being on the site for the next morning fishing before returning to the main camp for lunch.

THE BIG SALMON FISHING

The Moisie River is well-known for the impressive size of its Atlantic salmons and was one of the favourite areas of the famous Lee Wulff.

The fishing season runs from June to mid-September, in the run of June and July enter 2500 Fresh Salmons in ours pools. Fly fishing is the only type permitted. You can fish by wading or from an anchored boat, and a guide, for two fishermen, will accompany you during all your stay. If you wish, try fishing our enormous trout.

You must wear a life jacket at all times. A jacket will be provided at the camp.

EQUIPMENT AND FLIES REQUIRED

Please remember every cast holds the probability of hocking up to a big Moisie salmon so your equipment should include an 8 or 9 foot long fly fishing rod and 8 or 9 weight fly line and a fishing reel which can hold at least 200 yards of backing. Standard salmon flies generally work well. Some dry flies and Trout-flies could also come in handy.

THE HUNTING

Due to its far-off, difficult to reach location in the wild, the Pourvoirie territory is seldom hunted and is teeming with game, particularly moose bear, not to mention small game such as grouse, hare, etc... Hunting there is definitely productive. The hunting takes place in autumn along the Moisie River. Naturally a guide will accompany you during all your stay.

TRANSPORTATION

There is no road access to the camp thereby preserving the natural beauty and the exclusiveness of the site. Once the dates for your trip are confirmed, we will make all the necessary arrangements with the helicopter company which will carry you from Sept-Isles to the salmon outfitting campsite (a 20 minutes trip).
