NICOLL'S PROFILE

IC Character:

Nicoll is a Sindarin Elf that lives in Birthombar. She was born on Saturday December 12, 402 to Kara and Breithal and named 'Nicoll' by both parents due to the wine-red colouring of her hair. She was home schooled by her mother. During one of her many sojourns through the fields, she began composing poetry and delighted in the prose that fell from her lips.

She moved to Brithombar when she was only 40 years of age and was placed under the care and tutelage of Rhialdor. She continued her studies with Rhialdor for a few months before Master Narbelithil and the other Bards discovered her love of poetry and the written word. They insisted that Nicoll's primary instruction should be in Bardic Lore with them and granted her secondary teaching in the Political Arts with Rhialdor.

Fave Movies:

The original Star Wars Trilogy, Episode I wasn't bad, but it could have been better. The Fifth Element scores high on my list too. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves I pretty much know by heart. Shakespeare in Love was good. I liked that...



Describe Your Nook Of The World:

My City is close to Lake Ontario. It can get very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer but it doesn't happen often. I live in the city, about 20 minutes from downtown by car (45 minutes by public transit if you catch all your connections and there are no delays). My street is pretty peaceful, since it's a dead end street and we can barely hear the noise from the main street.

Anything Else?:

In RL, I'm a 22 year-old female with a severe addiction to email. I love reading and writing, just like my character and I would like to one day get into Copy-Editing. My current plan is to get a job and RP as much as possible! Other than the getting a job thing, I'm currently working on completing a writing course, writing an Alternate Universe Fanfic-type story, and reading the Star Wars X-Wing Series (Rogue Squadron ROCKS!).

RHIALDOR'S PROFILE

IC Character:

Rhi was born a few years before the rising of the Sun, making him about 500, give or take 20 years. He stopped counting a while back. His father was a sailor and his mother made musical instuments, like harps and flutes and such. Rhi had one older brother, about 300 years his elder. When Rhi was still fairly young, though already of age (about 100), both of his parents were lost in a sudden storm. Though Rhi loves Ulmo and the seas, he holds a deep resentment and almost a hatred for Osse, whom he blames for his parents' deaths. In the years prior, his brother had become a Rochir in the Falas military and was constantly engaged in the skirmishes in the northern part of the Falas and up into what would become southern Nargothrond territories. Rhialdor had been training with the diplomatic corps and, after his parents' deaths, obtained an assignment to Doriath to get away from the seas for a time. His brother's company was assigned to protect the diplomatic envoy. A few days out, Rhialdor convinced a pair of the scouts to take him out on their rounds and teach him some of their art. After they had been out some time, they heard horns from their camp. By the time they returned, the yrch had come and gone. Everyone was dead. Rhialdor found his brother near the perimeter of the camp, an orch knife in his back. He had never had a chance to draw his sword. The scouts said that the yrch had been encamped nearby and it appeared that they had laid a most devious ambush. It was obvious that they attacked before anyone knew what was happening. Rhialdor took his brother's sword, Kriskolfing, and still carries it with him, in memorial to his brother. Over the next few centuries, Rhialdor became one of Falas' best diplomats, having represented Falas from Doriath to Nargothrond to Feanoria and even among the Edain of Dor-Lomin. Recently, he was given the promotion to Etisto (Ambassador) by Cirdan himself, in recognition for his service to Falas. Soon after, he took Lalaithiell to be his betrothed and his hoping to have his wedding before too long.

TARAGIL'S PROFILE

IC Character:

Taragil was born just on a hundred years ago in the Falas to Belwe, a stern rochir, and Nimwen, a sweet-natured weaver. He is the only child in his family, which some see as a small mercy. Life for Taragil up to about the age of ninety was quite sheltered and uneventful, consisting mainly of dodging work and playing tricks on people in mid-novitiate as a squire, but when the Dagor Bragollach came and real responsibility came knocking at the door, Taragil did a very Taragil-ish thing: he ran away with the visiting folk of Nargothrond.

The Nargothrondhrim, of course, were soon headed to the battle themselves. After fighting at the Fen of Serech and staying in the caverns of Nargothrond for some time, Taragil was hauled back to the Falas by his father and promptly courtmarshalled, stripped of any rank at Barad Nimras. He has had no steady profession since then, but -has- seemingly caught an acute case of wanderlust, since he chatters incessantly about the places and people he's seen and occasionally finds excuses to revisit old friends in the various corners of Beleriand. Doriath and Nargothrond are his most frequent 'haunts' outside of his beloved Falas.

YAVANALDA'S PROFILE

IC Character:
Yavanalda is a young woodworker -- he owns the toy store on Eastern Street and is a favorite of Falathrim youth because of his puppetry prowess. That's what he makes his trade in -- puppets, or marionettes. He has been known to work on ship construction as well, and those of the Falathrim that know him from far back might remember him as an expert swordsman. Those who have just met him, however, wouldn't think so -- he's quite passive.

As of late, a deep melancholy has set over him. He is getting anxious to find a soul mate -- all these children dancing around his legs has made him long for one of his own, and despite his best efforts, poor Yavanalda always ends up "that nice young man," not the daring knight all the ladies seem to want.

ERANNON'S PROFILE

IC Character:
Erannon was born in some of the Noldori cultures, but it is unclear which one. Erannon was too young too remember himself. For some reason, his family decided to join a travelling party from said culture (to Doriath, it is said, allthough it is not certain), perhaps to see other family, perhaps there were other reasons. However, they never got there. The group of elves where attacked by an orch raiding party, and Erannon was somehow the only one to survived. Some humans found him, and not knowing what to do with him, they took him to Ossiriand, which was the elven culture they knew that were located closest to their own homes. There, Erannon grew up among the laiquendi, which is somewhaty of an explanation for his personality, he is very peaceloving and anti-militaristic for a noldo. He grew up as a baker, a profession that he eventually mastered, to the dismay of a competitor. The competition got so out of hand, that one night, the competitor's bakery burned to the ground. Erannon was the only witness who had seen the owner himself lit the house, but since he didn't concider himself to be reliable enough as a witness, he turned and ran. And when he had almost starved himself senseless, he found his way to Brithombar, where the citizens took good care of him. They took so good care of him, that he eventuallu was named Master Baker (and the private favourite pastrery maker of Cirdan himself). One day, one from his past came to seek him. It was Rahwiel, a very near and dear friend from Ossiriand. She stayed in Falas, and finally, Narbelithil could wed the two. They are now waiting for their first child.
