Sir Lionel Brett
Born on 19 Aug 1911 in Belfast, the son of Rev. Henry Robert Brett and Constance White. He studied at Marlborough College and Magdalen College of Oxford University, with a BA in 1936, and MA in 1946. He was a Barrister-at-law at the Inner Temple, London. Serving in World War II, in 1946 he joined the Colonial Legal Service, and became a Justice on the Federal Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1958. He is the coauthor of Brett and McLean's The Criminal law and procedure of the six southern states of Nigeria , Sweet & Maxwell; 1974. He died about 1990 in Ilminster, Somerset, England.
