As you may have guessed from the background pictures I am a Heath enthusiast, and love refurbishing and modifying the old gear.
However, the main purpose of this site is to provide Amateur Radio Operators with useful information:
First, if you have been operating radio equipment of reasonable power, for some years, you should have a look at my alternate site:
Click on the heading for information on the Registry, and names of those registered.
AT THIS TIME my most interesting project is a Phased Field antenna. The concept is based on the controversial EH antenna and the Cross Field antenna. This one actually works on the 20M band, and is designated PF4-20. Click on the picture to go to the details.
The next item is information on my Ham Station and myself, if you're interested.
And finally, the purpose of this site: Information on Software useful to the Amateur Operator, or valuable Amateur Radio Web sites.
I will list only software that I find (or have found) useful rather than just provide a general list of links. If the software needs to connect with your rig, I use only software that uses the sound card. There are also some web sites for other Amateur Radio sites that I have found to list reliable software or provide useful services to the ham. All of these sites are catagorized. Just click on the appropriate logo below to see a review and appropriate link.

If you know of any GREAT Ham radio sites I should include, or of any software you think I should evaluate and report on, then please E-mail me. All I ask with regard to software is that I get a working copy to evaluate. If I think it is very useful for Amateur Radio purposes then I will include it here - if I think it's a dud then that's then end of it.
One other quick point on software: if it works from the radio audio, then I will consider it ONLY if it makes use of the computer sound card.
Also, if you find that any of the sites no longer respond I'd appreciate an E-mail and I'll correct the information here.
I am a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Amateur Radio Club.
